Your role as a technician in mechanics

In the role of technician, you will work with a team on installation, modification, corrective and preventive maintenance, supervision, and repair of radar systems. This includes testing and troubleshooting advanced electronic and mechanical systems and devices. You will conduct regular inspections and actions primarily in our own workshop but also periodically at customer sites.

The work is carried out in teams as well as independently to solve problems. The work also includes conducting training and participating in the planning of daily work together with planning functions that manage and lead the overall operations. The work is done in close dialogue with our customers and contacts with nearby operations to create conditions for good and effective collaboration.

Travel throughout Sweden is part of the job. The position may involve working at heights, where approved climbing certification is a requirement. You will undergo training for work in masts and towers and undergo medical checks.

Who are you?

You have at least a 3-year upper secondary education in the technical field with an understanding of mechanical, electronic, and/or measurement principles. You should also have some knowledge of material processing and some experience in welding, blasting, or painting. A solid understanding of physics and a B driver's license are required.

Work experience in the relevant technical field, such as industry or defense industry, is an advantage. We also see that a forklift license (A/B certification) is a merit.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of maintenance and repair of mechanics and an aptitude for troubleshooting where you easily see connections and find solutions to both simple and complex problems. You should also be able to interpret technical manuals and diagrams and document completed work in a structured manner. To thrive with us, you should be open-minded and proactive in collaborating with others while having a good ability to independently solve your tasks. Since work is partly done at heights, high safety standards are required, where attention and precision are important, and being responsive to your colleagues is essential.

As the role may involve customer contact, it is important that you have good communication skills that lead to trusting relationships. We value personal qualities such as interest and engagement in what you do, as well as the willingness to learn new things.

As the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.
