About the Workplace

Sifs Preschool is located in the expanding Hyllie area, close to parks, shopping centers, and Hyllie station. The preschool is newly built and opened in August 2023. It has eight departments with bright and modern facilities. The departments are designed to encourage collaboration with large doors in between that can be opened or closed as needed. The preschool has several common areas such as movement rooms, water play, an art studio, a digital workshop, and a construction studio. It offers a fantastic view of the water tower and the stormwater park, and has an outdoor environment with many challenges for the children, some of which are adapted for the very youngest.

The education will be based on the children's interests through a project-based approach. When we want to explore our local environment, there are cargo bikes available and plenty of green areas to visit. In the preschool area, there is close leadership that works based on trust and strives for transparency and participation.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for substitute preschool teachers for Sifs Preschool. As a preschool teacher with us, you will work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You will lead and develop the educational activities together with the rest of the team. You have a special responsibility for teaching and work with the curriculum as a basis based on each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions. All preschool teachers in Malmö city have scheduled time (5 hours/week) for reflection, documentation, and learning with colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is playful, collaborative, and curious, and has an interest in working project-based with documentation as a tool. We use a documentation tool called "SKAtten" that you will have a special responsibility to write in. The teams have one and a half hours of joint development time per week, four development evenings, and four development days per year.

Within the preschool area, there are pedagogical forums where preschool teachers from the four preschools in the area meet and exchange experiences. The group's work is based on collegial learning and aims to strengthen and support preschool teachers in their special responsibility and pedagogical leadership.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher degree and at least 5 years of experience in the profession. We would like you to contribute with engagement, creativity, and a drive to develop the operations. You meet each child with respect and attentiveness. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is important that you as a preschool teacher have a professional attitude towards children, guardians, and colleagues and appreciate collegial learning. In various ways, you drive the development of inspiring play and learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, according to the children's needs and interests. In addition, we hope you contribute with creativity, reflection, and a positive spirit and have the ability to see the "whole house" and have the basic attitude that "all children are everyone's children".
