Helsingborg's Vocational High School started in the autumn of 2017 and is a municipal high school within Helsingborg City. We offer vocational training in all 12 vocational programs. Students spend 50 percent of their study time in the workplace. Join us in developing vocational education together!

Job Responsibilities

Part of your role will involve, together with your subject colleagues, being responsible for teaching mathematics. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, and assessment based on the governing documents and the school's commitments. The other part of your role will involve working as a special education teacher with students who have specific difficulties in mathematics, collaborating with teaching teachers in various groups as well as working individually with students. Mentorship may also be included in the role. You will also participate in joint planning at the school and various events.

In your teaching, you make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities, encouraging creativity and curiosity, and making it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways. You will be part of a team and an environment characterized by a forward-thinking attitude and collective work to build a new educational operation that serves as an exciting link between school and working life. Together with wonderful colleagues, you will help develop our school!

Qualifications

You have a high school teacher education and possess a teaching license in mathematics as well as a certified special education teacher with qualifications in mathematics. For you, modern technology is a natural choice in your role as an educator, and you use digital tools for knowledge-seeking, communication, creation, and learning. You use pedagogical documentation as a method to increase awareness of your own work in the school. You have a very good ability to work with people, especially young people aged 16-20, but also adults. You are clear in your leadership, and your communication is characterized by openness and dialogue. You have a good ability to create positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You share yourself and your experiences and knowledge. You dare to challenge both yourself and the students to try new things, fail, and try again. We place great value on personal suitability as the work with us occurs in close collaboration with all other teachers and staff at the school.
