Your New Job

Do you want to work to ensure linguistic accessibility and develop speech therapy competence in schools? As a school speech therapist at the Student Health Unit, your mission is to contribute expertise in communication, language, and speech, as well as reading and writing development.

The interventions of the school speech therapist can be health-promoting, preventive, or remedial at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You will work in a team with three other school speech therapists to create an accessible learning environment, increased equity, and goal fulfillment for our students in primary and adapted primary schools. The position includes collaboration with other staff at the central administration.

• You will support educational staff in removing barriers to learning and help students achieve their educational goals.
• You will support, guide, and consult with school staff to develop the learning environment and create conditions for knowledge acquisition among students with communication, speech, language, reading, and writing difficulties.
• You will provide training and professional development.

Your Competence

We are looking for a licensed speech therapist. You have an easy time collaborating and building good working relationships with an outgoing approach. You show respectful treatment towards people and possess good judgment and empathetic ability, allowing you to understand others' perspectives and situations. You are engaged, professional, and proactive. You are also driven in quality work and documentation. As a person, you easily create personal relationships and work for safety and well-being. You have a positive attitude and take responsibility in your work.
