FMTIS has a collective responsibility for the Armed Forces' technical command systems that support military operations at sea, on land, and in the air - in Sweden and abroad.

The Unit

The Logistics Unit is one of 13 units within FMTIS and is responsible for logistics support to Arboga, where the Commander of FMTIS serves as garrison chief. The unit consists of a staff with technical customer reception as well as a supply department that supports the garrison with equipment and various services such as rental cars and procurement of supplies and services outside the Armed Forces. The unit was formed in 2019 and is still under development.

We are now looking for a head for the logistics unit's staff.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of department head at the logistics unit, you will lead preparation, planning, and follow up on emerging needs and be responsible for reporting during the implementation year. A large part of the tasks involves collaboration with other parts of the Arboga garrison as well as within FMTIS.

As a department head with us, you will primarily be responsible for leading our planning of logistics support within the Arboga garrison but also support FMTIS J4.

You will:

• Lead preparation and coordination of logistics support within the garrison in peace, crisis, and war at the tactical level.
• Be the coordinator for the development of the garrison's logistics situation report.
• Follow up on logistics flows in our accounting systems.

Qualifications

You who are applying for the position have experience with the Armed Forces' supply chain management. Since you will work as a manager with personnel responsibility and be part of our management team, we also expect you to have several years of leadership experience.

To be considered for the position, you should have:

• Knowledge and experience in accounting for the Armed Forces' material as well as the Armed Forces' two accounting systems, PRIO and LIFT.
• Education in supply chain management.
• Understanding of the Armed Forces' supply solutions.

Since travel is involved in this role, we require that you have a B driver's license with a manual transmission.

You also express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Previous leadership experience in logistics.
• Experience in logistics, material supply, and material maintenance systems in the Armed Forces.
• Experience with the document management system VIDAR.

As the position is classified, Swedish citizenship is required. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment. Employment includes a national and international obligation to serve.
