We are looking for a stable and caring man with good physical condition and stress resilience for an important role as a part-time personal assistant for a man in his 55s living in Enskede, Stockholm.

He lives with ALS and has difficulties speaking, which means he needs help with most things in his daily life and has assistance around the clock. He uses advanced communication aids and needs a secure, attentive, and responsive assistant by his side. You will be his extended arms and support him in everything from personal care to managing aids and creating a smooth and safe daily life. You will work in his home – a calm and pet-free environment.

• Daily support and care – Assist with dressing and undressing, transfers (floor lift), showering, toilet visits, and personal hygiene.
• Household chores – Light cleaning, laundry, and other tasks.
• Management of aids – Use of cough machine, oxygen machine, suction device, PEG, tube feeding, communication aids, and wound dressing.
• Communication support – You need to be able to read facial expressions and body language to understand the needs of the person you are assisting.

• Previous experience in personal assistance or care – you feel comfortable handling aids.
• Attentive, calm, and flexible – you see what needs to be done and adapt to the situation.
• Soft and secure demeanor – while also being independent and proactive.
• Non-smoker and fluent in Swedish – you speak, understand, and read Swedish without problems.

• Start date: Immediately.
• Employment rate: Part-time, starting from 20% per month.
• Agreement: Introductory shifts and about a month of hourly employment before regular employment rate is assigned, provided everything goes well. This gives you a chance to feel secure and well-prepared for your new role.
• Work shifts: Includes two fixed night shifts per month and 2–3 evening shifts. Weekends may also occur.

Recruitment Process We continuously contact candidates who are relevant for a first interview. The position is filled when we have found the right person, which may happen before the application deadline. Your application is processed by staff at ENKV assistance, together with the client, and any relatives, guardians, or other concerned parties. For those who move forward in the process, background checks are conducted. If the position involves working with a minor client, an extract from the criminal record is required.

Child Perspective in Recruitment We at ENKV closely follow the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which means that if you are applying for a position that involves working with minors, the recruitment process will include specific steps to ensure that the child's will and needs are taken into account. When employed in a position where you work with a minor client, training on the child perspective is also included.

Employment Conditions If you proceed in the recruitment process, you need to be able to verify your identity and prove that you have the right to work in Sweden. To sign your employment contract and your time reports, you need to have a BankID.

To ensure that we maintain high quality in the assistance, newly hired staff will undergo a web-based introductory training (about 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than within a month from the start of employment.
