Region Sörmland IT is undergoing an exciting development and we are now looking for you who want to be part of developing our operations for the future. We have about 150 employees and are responsible for delivering IT services within Region Sörmland. In addition to delivering IT services, we also work on developing for future needs and digitalization issues.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic employee in the area of Business Intelligence (BI) for the Development & Master Data unit, where we work not only with BI but also with areas such as system integration, process automation, general system development, and master data. Together with us, you will contribute to an important and dynamic delivery area. The Development & Master Data unit is part of the Digitalization and Management operation, which consists of five units: Digital Operational Support Care, Digital Operational Support, Development & Master Data, Projects, and Architecture. The mission of the operation is to deliver long-term value through effective digital solutions to the various operational areas of Region Sörmland.

Job Responsibilities

Your work consists of designing, developing, and maintaining new and existing solutions based on given requirements and in accordance with applicable methods and processes.

Examples of tasks may include requirements work, data modeling, development, testing, and documentation work. You will continuously participate in improvement work regarding work processes, automation, and technology.

Your main focus will be to build upon and maintain our data and analytics platform together with the team. You will have close contact with our operations to understand analytical needs that you and the team will then translate into data products with the goal of creating operational benefits.

Your Competence

We believe that you are passionate about IT and want to deliver effective, stable, and secure solutions that create benefits and security for our various operations within the region (our customers). You are engaged, structured, self-driven, and willing to make your own decisions. We also believe that you are a good communicator in both speech and writing. Interpersonal skills and operational focus are important components of the job, which is why your personal qualities are especially important.

We are looking for someone who has experience working systematically with modeling and developing data warehouses and analytics platforms, and you are comfortable working with requirements together with a commissioning organization.

You have worked with Microsoft's BI stack or equivalent technology on another platform; if you have experience with cloud solutions, that is a plus. You have good knowledge of SQL and preferably experience in other programming as well. SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Power BI are some examples of important tools we expect you to be knowledgeable about.

We also value good collaboration skills and an interest in being part of streamlining and digitalizing our operations within the region. If you have other interesting experiences, we would love to hear about them as well.

In addition to this, you have a broad general IT competence and preferably experience in the area of solution architecture. We believe that you have an education focused on data/IT, system science, technology, or equivalent work experience. You are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. The place of employment is Nyköping, Eskilstuna, or Katrineholm. There is an opportunity for flexible work; in consultation with the manager, you can work remotely when the work allows.
