Lyckeby Health Center is located centrally in Lyckeby, near the Lyckeby River.

We are a large health center with 11,500 registered patients. The general medicine area includes varied consultations, home care, and child health care. Health centers are the residents' gateway to access health care that does not require hospital resources. Care is provided in all cities of the county, in several smaller towns, and sometimes in homes. Our goal is to be a modern outpatient care facility where teamwork and patient needs are at the center. We work to ensure that our staff group has significant participation in the operations and the opportunity for great flexibility both at work and outside of it. Our goal is for all doctors to receive their patient lists with individually assigned limits based on the recommendations of the National Board of Health and Welfare.

About the Job

We are looking for you who are a geriatrician or a specialist in general medicine with a genuine interest in our elderly frail patients. We want you to provide continuity in our elderly reception, be responsible for our patients living in special housing, and act as the contact doctor for our home care. As a doctor at Lyckeby Health Center, you can also work broadly within the general medicine area with varying consultations, both acute and planned, as well as child health care.

Supervisory training will be offered if you lack it. Region Blekinge has a generous policy regarding participation in external training and courses. Region Blekinge also organizes regular internal continuing education for primary care, and there is an opportunity to participate in FQ/Balint groups. The health center also arranges regular internal training for the medical group and other staff.

About You

You have a Swedish medical license with specialist competence in general medicine or geriatrics. Previous experience working at a health center is an advantage. As a new doctor, you will receive guidance and a designated mentor for support.

You are proficient in the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You have a genuine interest in helping people and always work with the patient in focus. You are confident in your professional role and are a positive colleague who contributes to our good work environment. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, initiative, and organizational ability.
