What we offer:

We produce news programs in Swedish sign language for children and young people aged 8 to 16. Our programs are characterized by journalism, pedagogy, and source criticism. We also create engaging content for social media. With us, you have the opportunity to spark curiosity and help young people understand and engage with what is happening in the world.

What this position entails:

As a multi-skilled reporter, you will work both independently and collaboratively with producers, editors, photographers, and graphic designers. You will create reports and segments, both with short deadlines and with long-term planning. You are responsible for research, planning, and how the subject is visually represented. In some projects, you will also film and edit yourself. You will work with a wide range of topics – from politics and current events to humor and everyday subjects that engage children and young people. On the editorial team, our first language is Swedish sign language.

Who we believe you are:

You are passionate about journalism and social issues and are drawn to working with the target group of children and young people. You are self-driven, good at planning, following up, setting timelines, meeting deadlines, and collaborating. You feel comfortable in front of the camera, can edit video, and can film at a basic level. You thrive in a newsroom with an open atmosphere where you can be a bit creative. At the same time, you are aware of the topics that particularly need to convey safety and clarity. You are good at explaining things in a pedagogical and engaging way and can adapt your communication style to suit the audience.  

For this position, we expect:

You have a good command of Swedish sign language and strong written Swedish skills.
You have experience with basic video editing (preferably Premiere).
You can film with an iPhone or semi-professional camera.
You are used to independent research and scriptwriting.
You are comfortable with translation between Swedish sign language and written Swedish.
You enjoy working in a team and are open to both giving and receiving feedback.
