The need for secure and robust communication has never been greater. To strengthen Sweden's digital resilience, PTS is making a strategic investment where the Department for Secure Communication is divided into two new departments: Preparedness and Security Protection and Cybersecurity.

The new Department for Preparedness and Security Protection will play a central role in developing and strengthening Sweden's ability to manage crises and ensure that society can maintain essential functions even under stress. The department works both nationally and internationally with total defense planning, preparedness measures, and crisis management to protect and strengthen Sweden's electronic communication and postal services.

Through this initiative, PTS is enhancing its preparedness capacity to better meet society's needs. We are now looking for someone who wants to contribute to ensuring society's resilience with us.

About the role

As a strategist, you will report directly to the head of the department and be part of the department's management team. You will further develop work on resilience measures and long-term planning, lead collaboration and strategic dialogues with operators and other stakeholders, and ensure that decided measures are implemented effectively. The role requires both a strategic holistic perspective and the ability to translate goals into concrete actions. You need to understand technical, economic, and legal aspects and represent PTS in national and international contexts.

About you

You have an analytical ability that allows you to prioritize, think strategically, and translate goals into concrete actions. You build trusting relationships and collaborate smoothly at different levels. Furthermore, you express yourself clearly and adapt your communication to the audience and context. We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in a relevant field or equivalent experiences and qualifications.
• Extensive experience in public-private collaboration in resilience and preparedness.
• Extensive experience in providing government support in the area.
• Good knowledge of IT, telecommunications, and preparedness issues.
• Experience working with security protection.
• Extensive experience in budget responsibility in public operations.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Education in society's crisis preparedness and total defense equivalent to the higher courses of the Swedish Defence University, levels 1 and 2.
• Experience collaborating with both private companies and other authorities.
• Extensive experience working on civil defense issues.
• Experience working in or in close dialogue with the Government Offices.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Placement in Stockholm with start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be xxx.

The position is classified in a security class. Therefore, Swedish citizenship and a successful security clearance in accordance with Chapter 3, Sections 1-3 of the Security Protection Act (2018:585) are required for employment.
