We offer you The municipality's water and sewage unit currently has eight water treatment plants and eight wastewater treatment plants in Söderköping's urban area, Västra Husby, Östra Ryd, Mogata, Bottna, Gäddvik, Sanden, Tyrislöt, Sankt Anna, and Finnkroken. Since 2015, the municipality's urban area has been connected to Norrköping's wastewater treatment plant, so the sewage from the urban area is pumped through a transfer line to Norrköping. The unit has a well-developed monitoring system (ignition) and good conditions for future development. We offer the opportunity to work broadly with both wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pump stations, pressure boosting, and pipelines in a driven workgroup that ensures that a socially important service functions well in the community every day.

Job Description

As an operations technician in Söderköping, you will be part of a team of a total of 5 technicians. There are also 6 water and sewage engineers in the unit. The position includes operational monitoring, operational optimization and follow-up, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Together with other operational staff, you will work to ensure that daily operations are conducted according to applicable laws and regulations. On-call duty is included in the position, which means you are responsible for the facilities after office hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has a degree in operations technology or equivalent knowledge.
• has several years of work experience in the water and sewage industry or food industry or process industry.
• knowledge of water treatment plants and their processes is an advantage.
• has a quality mindset as a natural trait in your work.
• Training such as fall protection and confined spaces, hot work, drinking water hygiene course, sampling of wastewater and drinking water is advantageous.

A valid driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written) are required.

A prerequisite for being able to do a good job is that you like technology and have computer skills. You have a great curiosity about how things work and enjoy problem-solving. You will work both independently and together with others, which requires drive, initiative, and responsibility. To thrive, you should be open to new working methods and varied work environments.
