The Skellefteå Primary Care Area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these will work for good and close care.

Primary Care South Skellefteå consists of the health centers Anderstorp, Bureå, Burträsk, and Lövånger. Here, we work together to develop primary care. Lövånger Health Center, with approximately 2500 registered patients, is the small health center in the heart of Västerbotten's coastal region. Between the growing cities of Skellefteå and Umeå, with a vibrant rural backdrop, lies the community of Lövånger with surrounding villages. Here we work with something as paradoxical as urban-close rural medicine. While we have Umeå University Hospital just over an hour away, we also have a clear rural character in our healthcare cases.

In Lövånger, we truly know our patients, and they know us. Staff turnover is very low, and both staffing levels and competence are high. Lövånger Health Center consistently tops the National Patient Survey in Västerbotten, which we are proud of. Our patients trust us – they come to the health center and expect care there, rather than a referral to one of the hospitals.

At the health center, there is a very good atmosphere; we help each other and find creative solutions for the patient's best interest and to support one another. We continuously work on both the work environment and well-being as well as on operational development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a district physician with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure.

The specialty of general medicine is characterized by the meeting with the patient throughout life. The competence includes meeting people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems and independently assessing and treating these. In general medical specialist work, one must also follow an individual's various health problems over time and consider the person's entire life situation when assessing health issues.

You work largely independently, but teamwork with other professionals occurs. With us, you have the opportunity to supervise training physicians and students to become future colleagues.

On-call duties in primary care are included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine. You are meticulous, take great responsibility for your work and your workplace, and are confident in your profession. You can work both independently and in a team and have good social skills.

You are a present and positive person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people.
