The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic works for equitable care for all and nursing based on research and clinical experience. The Psychiatric Clinic operates in a newly built facility where the care environment reflects the importance of the care environment in promoting health.

Ward 1 is often the patient's first contact with psychiatric care. The ward has a close collaboration with various outpatient clinics and treatment units. Patients are usually cared for under HSL, but care under LPT is also part of the operations.

We are now looking for two nurses for Ward 1 at the Psychiatric Clinic who want to help develop psychiatric care for patients with eating disorders and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities and psychiatric comorbidity.

You will receive individual orientation based on your experience and competence, as well as a mentor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

You guide and support patients in developing their own resources and managing the symptoms of their illness. You work in a team that, in addition to you, consists of the patient, nursing assistant, and doctor, where you are responsible for medication management, coordination, and participating in the development of the operations. The work as a nurse with us includes, among other things, mapping and identifying specific nursing needs for individual patients together with your team colleagues and planning the nursing team's acute interventions and actions based on that, as well as evaluating these.

You will also be involved in designing, implementing, and evaluating specific nursing strategies and, in dialogue with doctors, developing tailored treatment plans, working motivationally with different types of educational strategies, and compiling and evaluating these interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You have an interest in psychiatric nursing work and want to help develop round-the-clock care. Experience in psychiatry is an advantage. You should have good collaboration skills and the ability to make independent decisions.

You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, with a minimum level of C1.
