The Kidney, Gastrointestinal, and Intestinal Department is focused on kidney diseases and gastroenterological diseases. The two specialties are divided, and the department has a total of 13 patient beds. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, medical secretaries, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians work together. Our vision is that our employees collectively develop our working methods and collaboration within the department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome a nurse to our Kidney, Gastrointestinal, and Intestinal Department!

In the role of a nurse, you will work in a team with other professional categories while also working independently and being responsible for providing good care and nursing to our patients. Your tasks will be varied, including medical technology along with basic and specific nursing care for our patients.

We all share a common responsibility for the patients admitted to the department. Patients are primarily divided into two teams, focusing on nephrology or gastroenterology. This way, as a nurse, you will round your patients with a medical team, and there are great opportunities for education during rounds. You will be offered a stimulating work environment where opportunities for further development are a given.

New since last autumn is that we have educational nurses, one in nephrology and one in gastroenterology. The educational nurses work to strengthen and support nurses in their professional roles by driving, leading, implementing, evaluating, and following up on competence development. Therefore, the position suits both experienced nurses and newly graduated nurses.

To help you integrate into the organization and your role in the best possible way, we offer you an introduction tailored to your experiences and needs. For newly graduated nurses, we offer participation in Region Skåne's clinical foundation year, which is an introductory program for newly graduated nurses. Through lectures, practical exercises, and discussion seminars, the aim is to strengthen you in your new professional role.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you must have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. We would prefer that you have experience in gastroenterology or nephrology, but this is not a requirement.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are meticulous, good at prioritizing your tasks, and have a strong commitment to the organization and want to contribute to our continued development. You also have the ability to independently perform your tasks and are flexible in your approach. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne's values.
