About the position

At Perido, we are now looking for a janitor for our client, a state university. You will work in a team with other janitors who are divided into a janitorial pool. The work is carried out both independently and in groups. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30 at the university and nearby facilities located south of central Stockholm.

Your responsibilities

In the role of janitor, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and execution of daily tasks as well as information management
• Minor repairs and inspections in student housing
• Property management and technical supervision
• Relocations, rearrangements, and furniture assembly
• Internal transportation within the university
• Phone handling in goods reception and management of packages and deliveries
• Purchasing, inventory management, and stocktaking of furniture and equipment
• Invoice management in the financial system Agresso
• Follow-up and management of cases in the case management system
• Supervision of technical equipment, including AV technology
• Designing and updating routines and documentation for inventory management
• Assembly of computers, screens, IP phones, and other computer accessories
• Forklift operation and other usual janitorial tasks
• Responsibility for environmental and waste management
• Other administrative and practical tasks within the department.

We are looking for someone with a good sense of order and a strong sense of service. You take initiative and work independently while being able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. To thrive in this role, you need to be self-driven, structured, and meticulous, as well as have good collaborative skills. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability, social skills, and how you contribute to group dynamics. An important part of the job is that you actively participate in their pursuit of continuous improvements and development of the operations while providing good service to both employees and students.

Qualifications:

• Completed high school education
• At least 2 years of experience as a janitor
• Documented knowledge in environmental and waste management
• Ability to use assembly tools, “see” and suggest reuse of furniture
• Experience in IT assembly and installations
• Experience with financial systems and case management systems
• Knowledge of AV equipment
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

Meritorious

• Forklift license desirable
• Driving license B desirable

Scope and start date

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2025-08-31. Start date 2025-05-01.
