About the position

ZF Friedrichshafen AG is a company located in Friedrichshafen, Germany, that manufactures components for the automotive industry. ZF produces gearboxes, axles, clutches, and shock absorbers for manufacturers of passenger and commercial vehicles, buses, trains, ships, helicopters, and other machinery. Our customers send us transmission components that we troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish in our workshop.

As a service technician, you will among other things:

• Diagnose, repair, refurbish, and test drive ZF gearboxes, axles, and similar within ZF's product range in our own ZF workshop
• Provide technical support to our internal departments and external customers
• Work with drivetrains for buses, trucks, construction machinery, rail vehicles, and ships primarily in our workshop but sometimes also in the field

To thrive as a service technician with us, you need to be technically knowledgeable about vehicles and preferably have experience working with heavy vehicles such as buses, trucks, construction machinery, and/or passenger cars. You are used to troubleshooting and problem-solving independently and are familiar with both mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics.

The role is based in our well-equipped workshop in Sollentuna, and you report to our service manager.

Your profile

To match the role, we believe that you:

• Have technical experience from the automotive industry, where you have worked for several years with similar tasks
• Are used to troubleshooting independently
• Are focused on problem-solving
• Speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English
• Have a B driver's license

It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of vehicle electronics and experience with lathes and welding.
