Your role and responsibilities

ABB is one of the leading suppliers of products, systems, and services in the electrical power sector worldwide. The market is growing, and we need to expand our team. We are currently looking for UPS (uninterruptible power supply) service technicians/engineers to work with ABB UPS systems at our Västerås or Kista office!

Do you want a varied and independent job in a real future industry? Have you previously worked as a

UPS electrician or similar and want to further develop in power technology, service, and maintenance in a growing department?

For this position, we have a long-term plan where you will have excellent opportunities to familiarize yourself with the technology and ABB's offerings alongside our experts. After building a solid product knowledge, there are several further development steps available in commercial roles, leadership, or project management. Our mission is to provide services that increase operational reliability, availability, and profitability while

reducing environmental impact in our customers' production facilities. We cover the entire lifecycle of the facility and help our customers work with continuous improvements.

• You will commission UPS systems and associated battery storage systems.
• You will engage in corrective and preventive maintenance of UPS facilities.
• Repair and troubleshoot UPS and associated battery storage systems.
• You will act as sales support and resource in quotation work, including upgrades and renovations of UPS facilities and systems.
• You will soon be part of an emergency response team.
• You share ABB's core values regarding safety and integrity, which means you take responsibility for your own actions while also feeling responsible for your colleagues and the business.

Qualifications for the role

• You have experience as a service technician/engineer in UPS service or as a maintenance electrician in
• industrial facilities or similar operations.
• You can read both mechanical and electrical drawings and are also a proficient user of computers and measuring instruments.
• Experience working with electronic boards/PCB repairs is a plus.
• Experience in facility construction, commissioning, and testing is advantageous.
• You are fluent in both English and Swedish, spoken and written.
• Since travel is part of the job, it is important that you enjoy a mobile lifestyle.
• You enjoy working both mechanically and practically with assembly and repairs as well as electrical testing and troubleshooting.
