About Folkuniversitetet and the Service Department

Folkuniversitetet is an adult education association with activities encompassing popular education and adult education, schools, and commissioned training for companies, organizations, and authorities. We are a non-profit organization, independent of political, religious, commercial, and trade union interests. Region East includes the regions of Stockholm, Södermanland, Östergötland, Jönköping, and Gotland. 

Folkuniversitetet in Stockholm, Region East, is now looking for a janitor for the service department. You will be part of a friendly team together with three other janitors and work centrally in nice premises at two addresses as well as in rented premises at other addresses in Stockholm County. 

Job Responsibilities

The work as a janitor is varied and includes helping with maintenance work, remodeling, and renovation work, as well as assisting teachers and administrative staff with technical and practical issues.

You need to have technical knowledge with basic skills. The job includes managing the connection of projectors, computers, tablets, and handling sound systems, lighting systems, as well as products for wired/wireless networks. You must be able to and have experience with PC and Mac computers and basic service and troubleshooting of copiers. It is also desirable if you have a good insight into digital meeting tools.

Experience and knowledge in painting, filling, and carpentry are advantageous, and you need to have knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems. 

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a high school education and at least 3 years of professional experience as a janitor or in a position with similar responsibilities as requested in this advertisement.

As a person, you are flexible, service-oriented, attentive, and social. You are responsible, a problem solver, and have good practical skills. It is important that you can work independently and in a team and take your own initiatives when needed. Good language skills in Swedish and English are required, and other language skills are welcome.

A driver's license is a requirement.

Other

The position is permanent, full-time (100%) with scheduled shifts Monday - Friday between 08:00 - 18:00. Start date by agreement. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the last application date is April 7. Don’t forget to attach your CV.
