About the Workplace

You will be part of the Preventive Authority unit, which has a broad mandate. Among other things, we work on developing preventive measures, support for relatives, and coordinating meeting points. We are also responsible for two kitchens in our meeting points that serve meals or simpler dishes and snacks. The unit consists of developers, relative strategists, relative coordinators, meeting point coordinators, and kitchen assistants. In your role, you are expected to collaborate and work very closely with the meeting point coordinators and provide support as needed.

Job Responsibilities

As a kitchen assistant, you primarily work in our serving kitchen, and your role is to be there for our guests to serve the food prepared in Helsingborg Municipality's central kitchen when enough residents have ordered meals. At other times, you are expected to prepare and serve simpler meals and snacks.

The kitchen assistant's responsibilities include delegated responsibility for our central kitchen to serve meals prepared there as needed. There is also the opportunity to bake something nice for our guests. You are also responsible for orders, unpacking goods, and keeping the kitchen clean, fresh, conducting control measurements, and following food legislation. Some cleaning in other areas outside the serving kitchen may also occur.

You will primarily spend your time in our open kitchen, but since the operation is in a meeting point, you are also expected to contribute to enabling activities.

Qualifications

To proceed in the recruitment process, you should have restaurant or catering education at the high school level or another education combined with experience deemed relevant by the employer. Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and experience working with self-checks. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in central kitchens and café operations as well as experience working with special diets.

Additional Information

The monthly salary for the position is around 25,000 SEK depending on experience. We apply individual salary setting, and the offered monthly salary is based on education, experience, and competence.
