We are currently looking for a driven chef with a sense of quality for Bäckaskog Castle.

Bäckaskog Castle is located on a narrow peninsula between Oppmannasjön and Ivösjön, about 15 km northeast of Kristianstad.

We offer unique surroundings, a large beautiful park, food made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients and quality as our hallmark. We serve lunch, brunch, à la carte, as well as wedding and conference dinners.

Good food has been prepared in the castle's restaurant since time immemorial. Already in the Middle Ages, the monks at Bäckaskog Castle cooked good food. Today, you can visit the monastery kitchen from the 1200s, where deer and wild boar were roasted over an open fire. Although the old cooking methods have long since been relegated to history, our chefs safeguard the culinary heritage while refining and modernizing it with as many locally produced ingredients as possible.

We expect you to have a minimum of 3 years of experience. We appreciate attention to detail, drive, and creativity. You have a good sense of quality and service. If you also possess ambition, attitude, work ethic, and are a great team player, then you are the one we are looking for. The team you will be working with consists of skilled chefs who prepare everything from scratch and use seasonal ingredients, refining them in a modern way.

You must be able to get to the castle on your own, as public transport leaves something to be desired.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. The position may be filled earlier.
