As part of the sports and leisure unit's work team, you will work in an engaged team consisting of a team leader, a foreman, and five sports facility caretakers. Together, we are responsible for facilities such as Stockhagen IP, Danderydsvallen IP, Djursholms IP, exercise trails, riding trails, beach baths, and the municipality's sports halls, all in close collaboration with the community development administration. Our sports facilities host a wide variety of sports and events, focusing on sports such as football, ice hockey, athletics, tennis, figure skating, gymnastics, and other indoor sports. The facilities are also used by schools and the general public.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a sports facility caretaker, you will work to develop and manage the municipality's sports facilities, outdoor areas, and outdoor baths. The role includes maintenance of machines, management of properties, ice rinks, and green areas, as well as cleaning of premises and outdoor environments. As a sports facility caretaker, you are the face of the unit and play a very important role between the associations and the municipality.

The position involves shift work from August to April, and some tasks may be physically demanding. During evening and weekend shifts, the work involves providing good service to the facility's visitors, and solitary work occurs, which requires flexibility. The position is based at Stockhagen IP, but the work team operates with facilities and outdoor environments throughout Danderyd municipality.

To handle this assignment, you need to manage physically demanding tasks that include some heavy lifting.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school education
• Driver's license B
• Good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

• Driver's license C and other driving permits
• Experience in similar work or work in construction, installation, or property management
• Good knowledge of sports or community life
• Military training

We are looking for a service-oriented sports facility caretaker who has a humble focus on the common goal. You are self-driven and have the ability to quickly find solutions to arising problems. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who handles stress constructively and maintains a good mood in the face of adversity.
