Project Purchaser for Nordic Water

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for purchasing Nordic Water's products used in the process of purifying water. Your main responsibility is to ensure cost-effective purchases and a secure and stable supply of materials.

In the operational part of the role, you will handle purchases from subcontractors and workshops, both for projects and for inventory, as well as prepare products in our ERP system. You will work closely with key functions and suppliers to ensure that materials and products are delivered on time and meet quality and cost requirements. You will play an important role in contributing to the tactical work by simplifying and streamlining workflows for the entire department.

Responsibilities

· Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new suppliers.

· Negotiate prices and follow up on agreed delivery terms and contracts.

· Place and execute purchases for ongoing projects.

· Create product structures in ERP.

· Monitor inventory status and ensure that the right items are available.

· Work closely with other parts of the organization, such as project management.

Qualifications

· You have good experience working in purchasing or planning functions in a manufacturing company where, for example, operational purchasing, material planning, inventory, and production planning are clear elements.

· You have good experience working with purchasing systems, inventory systems, preparation, and ERP systems.

· We expect you to have a suitable post-secondary education for the position, likely in purchasing and logistics.

· It is an advantage if you have an economic and/or technical education.
