Clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in northern Hälsingland provides laboratory services and medical expertise and is part of the laboratory medicine department within Region Gävleborg. Our operations are in constant development, and we have replaced large parts of our equipment to modernize and become a state-of-the-art laboratory. Clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine are available in five locations: Gävle, Hudiksvall, Bollnäs, Ljusdal, and Söderhamn, and all units within laboratory medicine Gävleborg are accredited.

We are now looking for a biomedical analyst for the laboratory of clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in Hudiksvall.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will have the opportunity to work with everything from the simplest to the most complex analyses as well as other laboratory services. We continuously follow developments in the field and regularly update analyses and instruments. Our operations aim to provide high-quality analyses and decision support to healthcare. We meet all the healthcare's needs for blood components and collaborate with other healthcare providers to improve patient processes.

As a biomedical analyst with us, you will among other things:

• perform laboratory work and sample reception
• work with assessment and technical approval of analysis results, as well as suggest actions and troubleshoot deviations
• participate in training and education of employees and students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is quality-conscious and takes responsibility for structuring tasks in the best way. You are an attentive problem solver with a strong analytical ability who can easily use critical eyes to ensure quality in your work. You feel comfortable working independently as some on-call shifts are solitary; however, there are always colleagues in Gävle and Bollnäs who can be contacted for support in your work. To be successful in your new role, we see that you have a strong interest in clinical chemistry, transfusion medicine, and the laboratory scientific craft. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In the role of biomedical analyst, you should:

• be a licensed biomedical analyst.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have experience working in a clinical chemistry laboratory or transfusion medicine.
