Do you want to make the world a safer place? Our vision is to create security on the road, at home, and at work through innovative services. Together with competent and engaged colleagues, you will have fun at work. We are now looking for a Mechatronics Engineer with theoretical and practical knowledge in electronic design for cross-border collaboration between our electrical and problem labs as well as the prototype workshop in DEKRA's Design & Construction section within the Mechanized Testing business area.

DEKRA is a global company that provides services in advanced and mechanized non-destructive material testing with a focus on safety. Material testing is performed using manipulators in the form of robots or stationary systems. The robotic systems are built by DEKRA for remote inspection of areas and components that are otherwise inaccessible, which often means that the systems are unique for each assignment and project.

The Position

As an electrician in mechanized testing at DEKRA, you will be responsible for the design, assembly, and construction of our control systems, cable sizing, motor and encoder installation, as well as functional testing of both individual components and complete systems. The control systems and installations are primarily found in remote inspection equipment that we design, build, test, troubleshoot, and modify in our own facilities in Solna.

In addition to electrical design and assembly, you will also actively participate in mechanical assembly, adaptation, and testing of the manipulators and robots developed by the team. You will contribute your experience and provide recommendations to simplify and improve system design and functionality.

The work is free, varied, and creative, and in your role, you will have a significant impact on the equipment's functions and design.

The projects often involve close collaboration with your colleagues at DEKRA in Sweden and sometimes internationally. The department is spread across Sweden, with the largest group located in Solna. Our assignments involve travel both within Sweden and internationally, often in periods of 1-2 weeks at a time. Typically, there are about 20-50 travel days per year, some years fewer and occasionally more.

Who are you?

You are a positive and energetic person with a strong technical understanding and creativity. You are an electrician with a great practical interest. We believe you are a hands-on electrician who enjoys soldering circuit boards, connecting cables, and assembling electrical cabinets. You likely have knowledge or interest in control technology and embedded systems.

You enjoy the variety of working with the whole process, such as design, ordering, assembly, and adjustment, as well as testing what you have created and finally conducting inspections with the customer when the product is ready.

In the electrical workshop, you work with order and cleanliness as well as a strong focus on safety.

Other

A driving license (B) is required, as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English.

Welcome with your application!

Please submit your application in the form of a cover letter and CV by April 30, 2025. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, so the position may be filled before the application deadline.
