Kung Karl School is located in Kungsäter, approximately 35 kilometers northeast of Varberg. It is a F–6 school with about 80 students and an integrated after-school program, surrounded by a vast and scenic environment. Together, they form the heart of this picturesque village.

After completing grade 6, students continue their education at Lindberg School for grades 7–9. Our students appreciate varied teaching and want the opportunity to influence how they present their knowledge. This is something that the fall's work in the faculty will focus on.

Our students in the after-school program want a varied and challenging experience. Therefore, the after-school program will work on development in close collaboration with our development strategies to strengthen teaching and activities based on the curriculum.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities in the school's after-school program include organizing an educational, developing, and meaningful leisure time for the students. Together with the work team, you will plan the activities based on the curriculum and follow up and evaluate the quality of the after-school program. The work involves collaboration and cooperation with the school's teachers during the students' school day.

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with educators from our sister school in Derome, who are working on development projects to strengthen the after-school program's teaching and activities within the framework of a systematic quality work.

Kung Karl's after-school program also collaborates with local actors and the local library. Additionally, the environment around the after-school program offers opportunities for activities outside the schoolyard.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest drive. Together with your colleagues, you will shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher in the after-school program with us in Varberg Municipality, you play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for the students. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creativity, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you will plan and follow up on the after-school program based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, tailored to the students' needs and conditions. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license with authorization for teaching in after-school programs. With a holistic view of learning and teaching, you see the opportunities to support students' development throughout the school day and create a red thread between school and after-school programs.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific grounding with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
