Operations Technician at Water & Recycling in Säters Municipality

As an operations technician at Water & Recycling in Säters Municipality, you will engage in a varied and community-critical job. We ensure the production and distribution of drinking water and manage wastewater from most of Säters Municipality. We work closely with other functions within the unit, such as pipeline networks and project managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an operations technician, you will work with the operation and maintenance of our drinking water facilities, treatment plants, and pumping stations. Your tasks will include operational monitoring, maintenance, care, and follow-up of the facilities' functions as well as repair work. You will be stationed at the Säters treatment plant, with work covering large parts of the municipality. The position involves on-call duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to have education in operations or processes related to the water and wastewater industry or equivalent technical education, or relevant work experience. A driver's license for a car, preferably with a heavy trailer, is required. Computer skills are a must, and an interest in electricity and automation is advantageous.

You have the ability to carefully analyze and assess different types of data to draw well-considered conclusions and create functional solutions.

You can follow instructions, procedures, legal requirements, and policies, as well as adhere to set timelines.

You can perform in a pressured environment and handle difficult situations. You remain optimistic in the face of challenges and have the ability to accept and learn from criticism.
