Your Responsibilities

As a special education teacher, you will be part of the student health team and collaborate closely with student health and educators. You will support teachers in learning, teaching, and assessment situations and work operationally with students individually and in groups who need various types of help and support.

You will provide subject-specific support in language, writing, reading, or mathematics development and contribute to adapting teaching based on students' different conditions. Through observation, reflection, and adjustments, you will strengthen the learning environment.

The work includes everything from observing students in regular classes and discussions with teachers to participating in didactic discussions and being responsible for screening students as a quality assurance measure.

Your work also includes staying updated on the latest research. Collaboration with other professionals inside and outside the school is also an important task.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher for the early years of primary school with a special education degree or another academic qualification that we deem relevant for the role. We expect you to have a good knowledge of current research in the special education field and to be well acquainted with the work for accessible learning environments.

You enjoy working with multiple tasks simultaneously. You have good communication skills and a strong interest in meeting different people from various backgrounds and conditions. You have a good ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, children/students, and peers. As a person, you are characterized by a positive attitude and a solution-focused approach. You have a good ability to analyze learning environments/methods and make individual adjustments. You work independently and are eager to bring new ideas. You are curious about learning new things and are careful to maintain a high quality in your work. You have good IT skills, are communicative, and can express yourself clearly and correctly in both speech and writing. Personal suitability is highly valued.

This position is a summer job.

Before you can be employed, you need to present a valid extract from the police criminal record.
