Summer Substitute Nurse at Kungälv Hospital

The hospitals in the west are an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consist of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. About Ward 6 at Kungälv Hospital

We are part of the Department of Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation, and you can find us at Kungälv Hospital.

We primarily care for patients who have suffered strokes and patients with hip fractures and other osteoporosis-related fractures, as well as patients with internal medical diagnoses.

During the summer, we will merge our two geriatric departments, stroke and geriatric orthopedic acute care department, so you will meet patients with various types of diagnoses.

Working Method

As a nurse with us, you will work with the acute phase of care in the stroke process and the management of patients admitted to the ward. Our GOA patients (geriatric orthopedic department) are being prepared for or have just undergone hip surgery and have significant care needs in the ward.

As a summer substitute with us, we can offer you the opportunity to work all hours of the day with nursing assistants and nursing colleagues. You will also work together with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and dietitians to best meet the patient's needs.

All patients are cared for in private rooms equipped with the latest technology in the field. Here, we actively work to ensure that all employees from different professions are offered the best conditions to utilize each other's and the patients' resources and competencies. The ward is equipped with an advanced patient call system that contributes to a quiet care environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in stroke care, orthopedics, or elderly care.
