What We Do and Want

At the Park and Nature Conservation Unit, we are 17 employees dedicated to creating pleasant, safe, and diverse green environments for recreation and play.

The Park and Nature Conservation Unit is one of nine units within the Community Environment and Infrastructure Department. Other operational units such as Water and Sewage, Property, Outdoor Environment, and Street work alongside support functions like Community Building Services, the Building Permit Unit, and the Geodata Unit.

The Park and Nature Conservation Unit manages parks and green areas, squares, nature areas, reserves, and recreational areas, and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and caring for the municipality's parks and natural areas. We have a citizen focus in everything we do. The unit consists of park workers, nature conservators, a gardener, a unit manager, two team leaders, and a landscape architect.

About the Position

During the summer season of 2025, we are looking for two dedicated park workers for the Park and Nature Conservation Unit. The work includes mowing grass with ride-on machines, trimming grass, weeding, watering, emptying trash bins, dog latrines, and other containers. Cleaning in park and street areas and removing small graffiti and stickers from trash bins, signs, and benches are also part of the job. Your work will be very important for residents and visitors in Tyresö, where your efforts contribute to a pleasant experience of the municipality. The job requires physical mobility for outdoor work in varied terrain. We work together to develop our operations. Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who has an eye for a clean and tidy outdoor environment. You are passionate about maintaining green areas, cleanliness, and recycling. You are self-driven, responsible, and always complete your tasks. You should have a strong focus on safety and always prioritize a safe and pleasant working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

A B driver's license is required as you will need to travel around the municipality by car and ride-on mowers. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. We work with the Artvise system, where we process feedback from residents via mobile, tablet, or computer, so computer skills are a requirement for the job. Experience in green area maintenance and park machinery, as well as local knowledge, is advantageous.

As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and engaged. You can see the big picture as well as the details in your work. You enjoy meeting people and providing good service. Since you are part of a team, it is very important that you enjoy collaborating, are unpretentious, and contribute to a good atmosphere in the group. You also have the ability to work independently. You are self-sufficient and can structure your work effectively. It is also important that you can create a pleasant and trustworthy contact with our residents. You have good physical condition, enjoy active work, and are practically inclined. The job requires physical mobility for outdoor work in varied terrain.

The positions are full-time during the summer season of 2025, from April/May to September or as agreed. We work Monday to Thursday, from 06:30 to 16:00, and Fridays from 06:30 to 13:00.
