Your new job

As an economist, you will be part of the finance unit consisting of 20 people. We work together to support the administration's managers in a professional, proactive, and consultative manner within the financial area, focusing on areas such as functional support, elderly care, health care, and individual and family care. You will also have the opportunity to drive and develop tasks within financial management, participate in follow-ups, and contribute to investigations and project work. You are expected to be active in your environmental monitoring and will have the opportunity to participate in various forms of collaboration and development initiatives both within the administration and in various networks.

You will be responsible for supporting and following up on the budgets of the operations, both operational and investment, and the cost-effectiveness of processes within one or more of the above areas, i.e., functional support, elderly care, health care, or individual and family care. Together with others in the workgroup, you will be responsible for budgeting and performance requirements as well as compiling and analyzing reports, forecasts, and operational reports. You will convey knowledge about financial conditions and systems to the operations. You will also be part of the municipality's economist group and may participate in development projects at the administrative level.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in economics at the university level and preferably a few years of experience in economic work. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in municipal or public operations. We would also like you to have particularly good IT skills, and experience with the systems Combine, Visma, and Qlik Sense is a plus. Of course, you should be well acquainted with the Office suite.

To succeed in the role of economist, you need to have good analytical skills as well as a structured and efficient working method. You prioritize and plan your work and follow up on results and reflect on them. As a person, you enjoy taking responsibility for your own work and have the ability to act independently within the framework of your assignment. In your role, you will also work on presenting and explaining economics and financial conditions. Therefore, you should have good communication skills both orally and in writing, and be able to adapt your methods pedagogically based on different situations and audiences. You are also curious and like to engage in common issues and strive to contribute to a development-oriented and pleasant working atmosphere in your workgroup.
