We are looking for a quality-conscious and driven chef for one of our production kitchens within Elderly Care in Södertälje municipality.

Your responsibilities

We are seeking a creative and driven chef who constantly wants to improve the dining experience for our guests at the municipality's care homes. As a chef in Södertälje municipality, you should have the knowledge and desire to be involved in the work of developing meals into a gastronomic, nutritious, sustainable, and enjoyable experience for our guests. Södertälje municipality profiles itself, among other things, as a "sustainable food municipality" and it is part of the chef's role to actively contribute to increased sustainable food production and consumption. This means, for example, primarily using high-quality organic food, produced locally in season, in harmony with the satisfaction of our guests being the focus.

The position includes all usual tasks in a kitchen. You are of course responsible for following laws and guidelines, adhering to self-monitoring programs, and more. There are great opportunities to prepare food "from farm to table". Preparing most of the food from scratch is a given. As a chef, you have daily contact with your own team and colleagues within care and support, which requires good communication skills, teamwork ability, and a strong sense of service.

Personal qualities:
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about preparing and serving good and healthy food based on sustainably produced ingredients, where the well-being of the guests is the focus.
- You should have an inclusive approach that allows you to easily involve and collaborate with colleagues.
- You have a holistic understanding and see good service to guests as a given.

Requirements:
- 3-year high school diploma in the restaurant program.
- Training in self-monitoring and HACCP is a requirement.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a chef in large kitchens, restaurants, or hotels.
- Good knowledge of expressing yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Computer skills, experience in reading/writing emails and searching for information online is a requirement.
