Job Description

The section in Jönköping belongs to the Advanced Automation business area, with approximately 700 employees across Sweden. Here, you will be part of a team of about 20 people with expertise in electrical design, programming, machine safety, project management, and electrical inspections. In addition to our own client base, we support other AFRY divisions with specialist expertise, providing us with a wide variety of projects. We see a continued strong interest in our services and would like to further develop these – and hope that you are one of the candidates we are looking for!

We are looking for someone who wants to help develop and take a leading role in our team of electrical designers, which currently consists of three people, and where we now see good opportunities in the market to advance and take on more complex and larger projects. You will have the opportunity to shape your team and how you will work by developing a working method, resource planning, being involved in projects from the idea stage to completed work, organizing new standards and routines for how the work should be done, and helping to shape how you work together as a team. With your extensive industry experience, we also see that you will participate in client meetings related to your expertise, where you will build your own business. In the short term, you will work closely with the section manager and other experienced colleagues in the section, and we hope that in the long term, you can take on a team leader role for our electrical designers, similar to how we work on the automation side of the section. However, the team leader role requires a larger team, so we will also give you opportunities to help recruit new employees to the electrical design team.

We primarily work on projects within the industry, where the working methods vary depending on the assignment. Briefly, this can currently involve everything from design work in the form of cabinet construction, or upgrades in existing systems, to new constructions and the establishment of entirely new systems. Your role will likely also include tasks such as commissioning, system descriptions, and project management, among others.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we prefer that you:

  • Have many years of work experience in electrical design for industrial operations.
  • Have worked with tools such as Eplan and ElproCAD.
  • Are used to leading and coaching less experienced colleagues.
  • Enjoy setting up routines and processes for effective project execution.
  • Are comfortable participating in client meetings and contributing to sales efforts.

With the above in mind, we believe that you value collaboration with others, create engagement, and enjoy taking responsibility in your work. We also see it as a significant advantage if you have extensive local knowledge with an existing network, and therefore already have an idea of what types of clients and projects you think we should pursue.

However, what is most important to us is not that you meet all the characteristics mentioned above, but that you have the potential and drive to reach there. What you must have is good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Also, a B driver's license is required as shorter trips to clients' operations are part of the role.

Additional Information

This employment involves placement in a security classification. A security check with a background check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
