At Vitec Energy, we consider ourselves the best in the world at energy forecasting. This primarily involves forecasting consumption as well as renewable production. Recent investments in AI & machine learning have resulted in many new clients, and therefore we now need to strengthen our team with additional forecasting experts.

Within Vitec Energy, we develop and implement forecasting systems for the energy sector, a customer-focused job that requires deep knowledge of customer needs and close collaboration within the team. The users of our system are forecasting experts at both large and small energy companies across Europe, and your future colleagues are among the absolute best in the field. We are a small company with 31 employees where everyone has a lot to say and the opportunity to influence the future development of our systems.

You will have a central role in our team, and you will have both influence and the opportunity to affect everything from work processes to the product. Your tasks will include:

• Deployment of our system, which includes building an understanding of customer needs and integration with external systems
• Training and supporting users – Everything from how to use the program to analyzing and optimizing customer forecasts
• Supporting development – Ensuring product quality and contributing to active development work based on customer needs
• Supporting the sales department – Participating in customer meetings and webinars as a technical expert and assisting with technical questions during procurement.

Who are you?

We are looking for a self-driven person with strong analytical skills and an open attitude towards learning new things. You are passionate about customer focus, enjoy analyzing, and finding solutions to challenges that arise during the work process.

We prefer that you have a Master's degree in a relevant field. Previous experience in electricity trading or energy forecasting, as well as knowledge of statistics, is advantageous. Since the job involves a lot of data management and integration work, knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or other programming languages is also a plus. You will definitely thrive with us if you seek the drive and responsibility that comes with being part of a smaller company; with us, you will encounter a varied everyday life that includes both technical and analytical challenges mixed with independent project management.
