Job responsibilities
In the role of Chemical Manager, you will assess risks associated with chemicals and develop action plans to manage them safely. You will also act as a contact person for customers, authorities, and supervisory bodies, helping to ensure that the company complies with laws and regulations in the chemical area. An important part of the job is to develop business opportunities by building and strengthening relationships with customers. You provide technical advice and support in various projects, helping companies comply with legal requirements and manage chemicals safely and sustainably.
Additionally, you will conduct training in chemical management and legislation, sharing your knowledge and helping companies work more safely and efficiently with chemicals. The role is a mix of technical work, consulting, and business development, where you both support customers and contribute to safer and more sustainable chemical management.
- Expertise and advice in REACH, CLP, occupational safety legislation, RoHS, SCIP, etc.
- Contact person for customers, authorities, and supervisory bodies to manage issues related to chemical legislation
- Business development by identifying and developing new business opportunities and building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers
Education, experience, and personal qualities
- Completed education in chemistry, environmental science, sustainability, EHS, or similar
- Work experience from a technical business-oriented role, such as project manager or salesperson
- Driving license B and driving experience
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- The position requires you to undergo and pass a background check. For positions with security classification requirements, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
As a person, you take great ownership of your tasks, ensuring that they are completed on time and to a high standard. You are good at setting and keeping deadlines and structuring and prioritizing the right things in your work. Furthermore, you thrive in contact with customers, have good social skills, and are skilled at building long-term relationships. Additionally, you have a positive attitude and enjoy having many points of contact. In collaboration with the customer, you contribute ideas and new perspectives, and you find it stimulating to constantly be involved in improving processes and routines, both for the customer and internally.
