About the role

As Studio Manager, you will be responsible for two Team Managers and the four game teams they lead, totaling around 25 people. You will lead and drive the game studio while fostering relationships and collaborations both within the studio and with other departments. In close collaboration with Product Owners, Creative Directors, Art Directors, and the other two Studio Managers, you will drive the studio and game development forward. You will define roles and actively participate in recruiting new team members. You will be part of the management team and report to the CEO.

Your workdays will consist of

Planning the studio's projects in the long and short term and coordinating releases with Sales
Supporting, guiding, and providing support to Team Managers
Planning and coordinating the allocation of our shared resources
Creating the best possible conditions for game teams to develop new innovative games
Defining and implementing sound and effective ways of working for game production
Collaborating with various stakeholders such as Product Owners, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Compliance, and Marketing/Release Managers
Following up on game projects and the progress of games to ensure high quality
Managing HR-related issues within the game studio and conducting one-on-ones
Actively participating in game forums to ensure that game productions match and live up to ELK's product vision
Coordinating external certification and collaborating with Compliance to ensure market-specific requirements are met
Participating in audits
Driving agile improvement work by constantly exploring new ideas and methods to optimize our game development process

Who are you?

As a Studio Manager, you have a strategic holistic perspective and a strong ability to create conditions for effective and successful game productions. We believe you have a background in technical project management and are driven by developing both people and processes. With your coaching and inspiring leadership, you ensure that your employees have the right conditions to succeed and grow in their roles.

You understand the business and creative challenges of game development and can balance operational needs with long-term goals. Our way of working is agile and dynamic, which requires you to be solution-oriented, flexible, and able to navigate a changing environment. Of course, you are also unpretentious and ready to support where needed - whether it involves solving urgent problems or raising the gaze and driving strategic initiatives.

Our primary language is English, but in this role, you also need to have very good knowledge of Swedish. You should feel comfortable using tools available in the terminal and working with XML.
