“At Chematur Engineering, there is room to influence and develop, with short decision-making paths and a culture where initiative is highly valued.
Here, there is not only a chance to grow as an engineer but also to help shape the future of an entire industry. Welcome to become one of us!” – Kim Carlsson, Process Department Manager
Karlskoga is teeming with industrial history, and in the midst of this vibrant environment stands Chematur Engineering AB as a pioneer in process design. With decades of experience and a global reach, the company continues to expand and evolve, now aiming to strengthen its expertise with a senior project engineer in process design.
This is no ordinary engineering role – it is an opportunity to be part of something bigger. Chematur Engineering creates advanced process plants that shape the industry of the future. Here, you not only get to work with cutting-edge technology but also be a key player in international projects where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.
As a senior project engineer, you step directly into a dynamic team where every detail counts. Process design is about understanding and shaping entire flows – from mass and heat balances to creating technical specifications that form the basis for entire plants. It is a role that requires both analytical sharpness and practical understanding.
But it’s not just about numbers and calculations. Chematur Engineering is a company where knowledge is shared, where experienced engineers support younger colleagues, and where collaboration between different technical disciplines is a given. Being part of this environment means being constantly challenged, learning new things, and helping to solve complex engineering problems that shape the future of the process industry.
The field of work extends far beyond the borders of Karlskoga. With the world as your workplace, a typical work week may involve technical consulting at a facility in Europe one day and risk analyses at a site in Asia the next. Flexibility and problem-solving are part of everyday life – a reality where engineering meets practical application in sharp situations.
For those driven by challenges, structure, and innovation, this role offers a unique mix of freedom and responsibility. We warmly welcome your application!
Examples of tasks:
- Responsible for mass and heat balances, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Develop process descriptions and manuals.
- Process engineering design of equipment.
- Be technically knowledgeable during procurements and risk analyses.
- Support during installation and commissioning of plants.
- Provide support and guidance to younger colleagues.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We see that you, as a candidate, have:
- A university degree in chemical engineering with a focus on process/apparatus engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in plant design within the process industry.
- Experience from startup or operation of process plants is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
To succeed in the role, you are meticulous, structured, and responsible, with the ability to drive your work forward effectively. You are also solution-oriented, proactive, and enjoy collaborating in a dynamic environment.
The role involves many contact points and international travel, sometimes at short notice.
Benefits & Work Environment
