We are a school that operates from preschool class to grade 9 and is located in a residential area in Viksjö. The school has about 600 students and 85 employees. The school is organized into teams and work groups for close collaboration around our students' development - academically as well as socially and medically.

We take a holistic perspective where we utilize everyone's competencies and build a school where everyone should feel safe, joyful at work, and have faith in the future. Great emphasis is placed on preventive work and on working methods that support and stimulate a good pedagogical, social, and health-promoting school environment.

As a new school nurse, you will play a significant role in the overall picture of the school and student health team, where we continually strive to work cross-professionally and utilize everyone's competencies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a new school nurse working 100%, you will collaborate with a colleague (20%) on preventive and health-promoting initiatives based on Järfälla Municipality's basic program for student health. The medical interventions include health visits, open reception, vaccination administration, and planning school doctor appointments.

In your role as a school nurse, you will actively work with the school's student health team to support students in achieving their goals in school. You will collaborate with other staff, guardians, other services, and authorities outside the school to create a safe school environment that promotes health and learning.

As a newly hired school nurse, you will participate in an introductory program. You will work with a colleague at the school who works part-time but can still assist you in getting acclimated to the school and guide you in municipal common working methods or systems. You will also be offered supervision in smaller groups and regular professional meetings with the municipality's other school nurses.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in health and medical care for children and adolescents, district nurse, or school nurse.

Previous experience as a school nurse is an advantage.

You have a good sense of responsibility, are meticulous and flexible. You feel comfortable working independently but also have a good ability to collaborate and cooperate. You find it easy to communicate and meet people and enjoy working with children and adolescents and their guardians.

You should be able to work with basic computer programs and have experience with data journals.

We place great importance on personal suitability. Starting from July 1, 2025.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
