Since January 2025, we also have a new operation where we conduct Swedish for immigrants (SFI) as remote teaching.

Through this advertisement, we are looking for summer substitutes for our SFI courses during the day, evening, and Saturdays. The operation is located in Boländerna. We offer summer substitutes both part-time and full-time based on agreement. The number of weeks also varies based on agreement. The need for substitutes is greatest between weeks 25-27 and 30-32.

The Education and Job Center in Uppsala is a municipal adult education institution located at several addresses in Uppsala. We offer adults the opportunity to study Swedish for immigrants (SFI), general subjects at basic and upper secondary levels, vocational training, and adult education as adapted education.

Our courses are conducted in the form of in-person teaching and flexible formats. The Education and Job Center also operates a learning center in Gottsunda.

Your Assignment

Your work includes planning lessons based on the rough planning that already exists for the summer courses. The rough planning is developed by the course teacher. You will conduct and follow up on teaching Swedish as a second language and encourage students' knowledge building and exploration. You are expected to conduct an adapted educational activity based on both individual and group needs and conditions, as well as conduct teaching with the help of computers and other digital tools.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with knowledge of teaching. If you have a teaching degree, it is considered an asset. We would also like you to have experience in teaching within adult education, primary school, or upper secondary school. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of Swedish as a second language and knowledge of teams.

As a person, you are flexible and see opportunities in changes. You collaborate well and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. The job suits you if you are service-oriented, calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. Additionally, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.
