Occupational Therapist at Blomsterfonden
Blomsterfonden is a non-profit organization that has been around since 1921. At Blomsterfonden, we work together to provide our residents, members, and customers with a safe and dignified old age based on their needs and wishes.
We primarily operate in two areas: senior housing and care services. Within the framework of care services, we run four nursing homes and our own home care service in Stockholm and Danderyd. Our daily work is characterized by humanity, clarity, participation, and honesty.
We are very pleased with the excellent results we have received in both the Socialstyrelsen customer satisfaction survey and the employee survey. We are located in Greater Stockholm, and as an employee, you will be part of our community of about 500 staff members.
Are you ready to take a new step in your career? Then you now have the opportunity to become part of our wonderful team at Blomsterfonden.
We warmly welcome you to apply for this permanent full-time position. You should be a licensed occupational therapist, and we would like you to have further education and several years of experience in elderly care.
You will be part of a care team consisting of an accessible operations manager, group leaders who are also nurses, physiotherapists, activity leaders, and nursing assistants.
You will independently plan your daily work based on the needs of the organization. Using a rehabilitative approach, you will conduct assessments and treatment work, as well as support and stimulate our residents in their daily lives. The work includes performing ADL status assessments, investigating needs, and prescribing personal care. You will assess the conditions for activity and participation among residents and formulate goals based on health plans, as well as prescribe aids and alarms. Your role also includes planning, developing, and implementing daily activities for the residents together with the activity leaders.
Your pedagogical skills will be valuable in collaboration with the physiotherapist in training/guiding care staff in rehabilitative and health-promoting practices, fall prevention, handling of aids, and training in transfer techniques.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for reporting risks and incidents in the care environment and taking measures to ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
Qualifications
Licensed occupational therapist 180. It is an advantage if you have further education in elderly care, such as the Socialstyrelsen prescribing education. We would also like you to have knowledge in change management and have participated in systematic quality and improvement work.
It is important that you master Swedish in both speech and writing and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and commonly used support systems within your area of responsibility.
