Solgården Elderly Home is a residence for elderly people, with 49 places, both somatic and dementia places. The residence is located in Indal and is built on two floors with three departments.

The residence is staffed around the clock and has a nurse on site during daytime on weekdays. During other times, nurses are available in the municipality.

We who work at Solgården are responsible for ensuring that the residents feel safe and receive the help and support they need. The need for assistance varies from simpler practical tasks at home to advanced and qualified care as well as interventions from health and medical care.

At Solgården, we have many areas of responsibility, and there are great opportunities to develop and take responsibility, both individually and in groups. For example, regarding documentation and health and medical care assignments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistant nurse, your tasks include providing high-quality care to our care recipients based on individual needs. You should be able to work both independently and in collaboration with others in the work team. We work in teams that include care staff, nurses, and rehabilitation personnel.

Tasks include:

• Providing care and service to residents with high quality.
• Establishing and following up on night interventions in the implementation plan in close communication with the care recipient.
• Documentation according to SoL and HSL.
• Risk assessments regarding the care recipient and the work environment.
• Supervision (e.g., new employees and students).
• Development of the operation and your own working methods.
• Performing delegated tasks according to HSL.
• Advocacy role based on needs.
• Performing laundry and cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in working with people and a desire to help others.
• Has education as an assistant nurse with approved grades.
• Can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing (at least completed SFI D education).
• Starts from the resident's needs and is attentive to their wishes.
• Is service-oriented, calm, and has the ability to handle stressful situations in a controlled manner.
• Has good verbal skills. In communication with people with cognitive impairment, you can express yourself briefly, calmly, and clearly when different situations arise, ensuring a good response.
• Is flexible and can quickly adapt to new conditions and prioritize your tasks.
• Takes responsibility for your tasks, is independent, attentive, and strives to find solutions.
• Has good collaboration skills.
• Is computer literate.

It is meritorious if you:

• Have completed online training courses Demens ABC, ABC Plus, and Nollvision.
• Have experience in caring professions.
• Have experience working with people who have cognitive impairments.
