Engineer in Avionics and Flight Sensors

We are now looking for an engineer with experience in avionics and flight sensors who wants to contribute to the development and improvement of helicopters within section helicopter 14. With us, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects aimed at making Sweden and the world safer!

About the Position

As a systems engineer in the avionics and sensor area, you will support project managers with your technical expertise to actively contribute to the development and maintenance of helicopter 14. You will play an important role in project and systems work, where you actively participate in the development of avionics and weapon systems. You will plan, execute, and follow up investigations and development assignments, as well as prepare decision-making materials for procurements and other strategic decisions.

The role involves participating in procurements together with buyers for small and large assignments both nationally and internationally through collaboration with the Armed Forces, NATO helicopter management agency, and suppliers.

Overall, the work gives you good opportunities to further develop your knowledge in advanced systems engineering as well as sensor and weapon technology. You will also have the opportunity to work in complex collaborative projects within the aviation industry and to plan for future development for the helicopter system.

The position is based in Stockholm. Domestic and international travel may occur in the role.

About You

We are looking for someone who is educated as a civil or university engineer, systems scientist, or has another relevant education or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. You have several years of experience working with avionics and flight sensors. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good knowledge of English.

It is advantageous if you have experience in systems or development work with military or civilian avionics systems, their sensors, and tactical applications. It is a plus if you have good knowledge of FMV's or the Armed Forces' working methods and knowledge of LOU or LUFS, but this is not a requirement for the position. If you have knowledge of defense security, it is meritorious; perhaps you have studied security issues, been engaged in the Home Guard, worked in the defense industry, or have other knowledge that we assess as equivalent. A driving license (B) is an advantage.

Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who has the ability to plan and organize their work, is stable, and has a holistic view. You enjoy collaborating with others and have a problem-solving analytical ability.
