About the Position

In the role of Interim Unit Manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading the management's work from early urban development to completed buildings. The assignment also includes the maintenance of our buildings as well as the rental of premises and land. As a unit manager, you will be responsible for seven employees in roles such as development leaders and project managers. The team works with urban development issues and projects in early stages, with a holistic perspective on the management's long-term facility supply, planning processes, and development of sports areas. The unit also has an important function in monitoring urban development.

In this role, you will lead, plan, and develop the unit's operations and handle financial and personnel matters. Your leadership is characterized by creating the right conditions for employees by promoting knowledge acquisition and network building. You also support the department head by providing decision-making material for the management's strategic positions.

The Position as Interim Unit Manager

The position as Interim Unit Manager for our client's urban development department is a consulting assignment starting as soon as possible until 2025-08-30. There may be a need for an extension in time after the contract period ends on 2025-08-30.

About You

We are looking for someone with a solid background in leadership and management, preferably within the public sector. You have a relevant education and documented experience in leadership, finance, and work environment. Personal qualities that are important for the position include being self-driven, communicative, and possessing good leadership skills. You are an initiator and have the ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.

Requirements for the Position/Assignment:

• We prefer that the proposed consultant can start the assignment no later than 2025-04-01. The requirement is that the proposed consultant must start the assignment no later than 2025-04-07.
• You have a university or college degree in, for example, urban development, community planning, etc., or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• You have at least 3 years of experience as a manager with budget and personnel responsibility.
• You have experience successfully exercising a communicative and trust-based leadership.
• You have experience working with urban development issues and have worked with change management and/or have experience working in a politically governed organization.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing.

Experience in a technical organization is an advantage, and we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
