Råda Parish is located in Mölnlycke, ten kilometers outside of Gothenburg. Mölnlycke has about 20,000 inhabitants, and approximately 56% are members of the Church of Sweden. The parish has a red wooden church from 1712 and a modern expanded parish hall known as Råda Rum. Råda Parish conducts both traditional parish activities (radaforsamling.se (https://maquire-my.sharepoint.com/personal/christina_fredriksson_maquire_se/Documents/radaforsamling.se)) and a restaurant, conference, and event operations in the corporate form of Råda Rum AB. We are looking for a visionary vicar who, together with us, wants to continue developing Råda Parish as a vibrant place with a large flow of people and who wishes to meet these individuals in all stages of life to instill hope and faith. Both in Råda Parish and in Råda Rum, our parish hall that also operates a restaurant, conference, and event activities, there is a striving to create meeting places for many.

Being a vicar with us is a managerial and leadership role. Together with the church council, you will care for parish life and share responsibility for ensuring that the fundamental tasks of the parishes are carried out. You will have a management team consisting of the parish's two middle managers, whom you will supervise, as well as the CEO from the company Råda Rum AB. Råda Rum is led by a board where the vicar is a member. The parish has 25 employees, some of whom share their time between Råda Parish and Råda Rum.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and develop parish activities in collaboration with the church council
• Be the direct supervisor of the parish's two middle managers
• Drive change and development work in the parish
• Create and nurture relationships with employees, parishioners, and partners
• Represent the parish in both ecclesiastical and societal contexts
• Participate as a board member in Råda Rum AB and collaborate with the CEO

About you

We are looking for someone who is ordained in the Church of Sweden and has at least three years of experience as a priest, as well as a qualifying vicar education. We prefer candidates with previous experience as a vicar or other managerial and leadership experience. Furthermore, you should have good financial knowledge with an understanding of financial management, decision-making processes, and parish administration.

As a person, you are visionary and want to develop the parish to remain relevant in its time. Your leadership is characterized by attentiveness and trust, as well as an ability to inspire and motivate your staff. You are a good listener and supportive but also lead with clarity and determination that allows the organization to take developmental steps and turn visions into action. You have a genuine interest in people and find it easy to build trust. You see the value in tradition but dare to think innovatively to meet today's and tomorrow's needs.
