We are looking for a Head Waiter at Restaurant Kärnhuset in Kivik
Do you want to contribute to wonderful customer experiences with us at Kiviks Musteri?
The destination in Kivik is our brand's showcase, consisting of our newly renovated Restaurant Kärnhuset, Stina's café, the Mustery store, the Apple House, and our gardens and plantations. You will play a key role in our visitors' food and beverage experience and contribute to our guests' experience of Kiviks Musteri.
As a Head Waiter, you will work closely with our Restaurant Manager and be responsible for customer interaction, service, beverage selection, and ensuring that the restaurant and café look inviting. To create the right conditions for our employees, it also involves putting together the puzzle to make everything work, both high and low.
Restaurant Kärnhuset and Stina's café in Kivik are in the midst of a transformation process where we are reviewing our offerings. We are renovating the restaurant, including a newly built bakery, and have many exciting plans ahead. Come and be part of an exciting development with us!
About the position
You will be the right hand of the restaurant manager and act as a link between the Restaurant Manager, serving staff, and guests, with overall responsibility for the service at Restaurant Kärnhuset and Stina's Café based on specified goals and strategies, with the brand as the clearest guiding star.
The work includes:
· Being responsible for customer interaction and service.
· Working operationally at the cash register and in service.
· Leading the work for the serving staff, such as creating schedules for all staff at the restaurant and café and introducing new serving staff.
· Managing bookings.
· Being responsible for serving permits, purchasing beverages, updating drink lists, and having good knowledge of beverages in all their forms.
· Being responsible for self-checks in the bar/dining areas.
· Handling daily cash reports.
· Ensuring that the environment in the restaurant is pleasant.
· Working with a team spirit for a safe and positive work environment.
Who are you
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in food and beverages and who is driven to create great experiences for our guests. Since the focus on beverages is an important part of the role, we welcome experience and/or a strong interest in beverages, preferably in combination with food.

Furthermore, we believe that you thrive and feel secure in a leadership role and are good at engaging and motivating employees. We prefer that you have leadership experience from work or leisure. The position is not a formal managerial position but involves team leadership for the serving staff. This includes leading the operational work and creating schedules.

To succeed in this role
We want you to have a high school education and at least 3 years of experience working in the restaurant or café industry, in a similar role.
For the role, it is required that you speak fluent Swedish and English and can handle both Swedish and English in writing.
The position
The workplace is located in the picturesque Kivik on Österlen where you will report to our Restaurant Manager.
The position is a permanent employment, with a 6-month probationary period, at 100%. Work every other weekend. The restaurant is open during the day, so working hours are scheduled during the day. Evening work may occur sporadically during special events.
Start date according to agreement.
