We are looking for an occupational therapist to Salem Rehab!

We are expanding with an additional occupational therapist, are you the one we are looking for? Here is the opportunity to work flexibly in our primary care assignment with home rehabilitation teams, outpatient care, and a Neuroteam.

Salem Rehab is a service within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area with a mission to conduct primary care rehabilitation with an additional assignment for a neuroteam in outpatient care.

We can offer a stimulating, varied, and developing job with personal responsibility. Within the basic assignment, where home rehabilitation and outpatient work are included, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and dietitians work together. The neuroteam also includes a social worker and a speech therapist. When you join us, you will receive a thorough introduction both in the basic assignment and in the neuroteam. The neuroteam also has regular supervision from a neuropsychologist to strengthen the group and further increase competence.

We are one of the few primary care units that are integrated with a health center. In rehab, we are a total of 23 people, and in the entire organization, including the health center, we are nearly 60 people. The advantage of being part of the health center is that we have close and tight cooperation with all professionals at the health center.

Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of an occupational therapist within the primary care assignment are very varied. In the basic assignment, we conduct home visits where we assess the need for assistive devices and trial assistive devices. ADL assessments and certificates as a basis for applications for housing adaptations, and basic memory assessments in the patient's home. Home visits are conducted both in teams and individually. In the outpatient clinic, we work with hand rehabilitation and work capacity assessments; work in the clinic can be both individual and in groups. In the neuroteam, you will meet patients from 18 years of age with a variety of neurological diseases. In the neuroteam, we work with a strong focus on teamwork, we have common goals, and there is close cooperation within the team.

You will collaborate with other healthcare providers in the unit as well as with relatives and other collaborative partners and supervise students.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed occupational therapist, experience in primary care or neuroteam is highly meritorious but can also suit those who are new to the profession as you will receive an introduction from experienced colleagues.
  • Driver's license (B).
  • Further education at the university level is valued.
  • Swedish language skills at least at level C1.

Employment Type:

Permanent employment 100%. A probationary period may be applied. Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

  • requires, in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
