Are you an engaged and driven engineer who wants to help drive and develop our program for Improved and Standardized Planning within AO Fe together with the business?

The Most Important Jobs of the Future

We want to lead the transition of our industry towards a sustainable future. Just as we want to change the world, we want to develop everyone who is with us on the journey, personally and professionally.

Do you want to help shape the future of the world's mining and mineral industry?

Your Role

The Strategic Planning & Systems Analysis section is looking for an engineer who thrives in a cross-functional environment, is passionate about implementing new working methods, and has experience leading extensive programs in collaboration with the business.

In this role, you will work with the business to coordinate and drive the umbrella program Improved and Standardized Planning, which encompasses the entire iron ore business area. You will collaborate closely with several departments such as mining, processing, logistics, exploration, and strategic planning to ensure successful implementation. Since the section works across business areas, it is important that you have a holistic perspective.

The role also involves contributing across business boundaries in a humble and solution-oriented collaboration, supporting other sections within the department as needed. You will become part of a competent team with many skilled colleagues where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of the work.

Strategic Planning & Systems Analysis is organizationally placed under the Strategy & Business Development department.

In the role, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate the project group consisting of representatives from different parts of the business
  • Develop and implement standardized working methods for critical processes
  • Ensure that meeting and reporting structures are in place and functioning effectively
  • Conduct competency-enhancing initiatives and resource reviews
  • Work with reference groups and business area management to ensure that the project meets the needs of the business

You Bring

To succeed in the role, you need to have the ability to understand and develop processes from a holistic perspective. You are engaged and innovative, with a systematic approach and a strong drive that makes things happen. With your communicative ability and focus on creating progress, you are a natural leader in change work.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree, for example in engineering or business administration, or other education combined with relevant experience deemed equivalent.
  • Experience leading larger programs/projects within the mining industry or similar sectors.
  • Experience developing and implementing standardized processes.
  • Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written
  • A valid driver’s license is a requirement for all positions at LKAB

You Will Receive

A stimulating and developing job, where you work with cutting-edge issues. You will become part of a competent and engaged team of specialists who together shape the future of the mining and mineral industry.

In addition, you will also receive:

  • A rewards program.
  • Free training at LKAB's own gym as well as with our partners at operational locations in Norrbotten.
  • Health and wellness benefits and study support, as well as access to art associations, leisure associations, mountain cabins, and family activities.
  • Enhanced parental leave with up to 90 percent of your regular salary for up to six months (after one year of employment).
  • Assistance and support in case of illness or questions regarding work environment, health, wellness, and rehabilitation.
  • Compensation for dental care as well as protective and terminal glasses.
  • The opportunity to apply for scholarships for studies for both you and your children.
  • The opportunity to join our pension and insurance program at favorable prices.
