In family law, we collaborate with the district court and offer informational meetings to parents. The goal of this meeting is to provide parents with relevant information that can help them find the best solution for the child at an early stage. We investigate, on behalf of the district court, issues regarding custody, residence, and visitation, conduct consent and adoption investigations, and establish paternity and parenthood. We focus on preventive work and offer parents voluntary collaboration meetings, as well as the opportunity to draft agreements.
We also handle other family law issues such as name cases and special appointed guardians, as well as enforce decisions and judgments from the district court regarding visitation support. We collaborate with other units within First Line Support and Children and Youth in Södertälje.

Who are you?

Requirements:
- Degree in social work
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
- B driver's license
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing is required as it is part of the authority's exercise of power.

Meritorious:
- Work experience in investigative work is meritorious.
- Previous experience in family law tasks is desirable.

We belong to the result area First Line Support, which was created on March 1, 2024, with the aim of gathering services that should be easily accessible to citizens, with a focus on preventive work.
The work group consists of eight family law secretaries, one group leader, and one results unit manager. Our unit also includes the visitation support service, which has five hourly employees who primarily work on weekends, Family Counseling, Relative Consultant, and Personal Ombudsman.
The idea behind First Line Support is to prepare and develop the operations ahead of the new Social Services Act, which is expected to come into force in July 2025. This means that we are in a dynamic phase where a lot of development is taking place. We are a stable, positive, and engaged work group with diverse competencies and extensive experience. Our vision is to support parents in reaching a common understanding that promotes their children's development. One of our core values is that we always have the child's perspective in focus!
