SiS LVM Home Hessleby, located in beautiful forest surroundings just outside Mariannelund, accommodates men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We have special expertise in receiving clients with mental health issues or outwardly aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.

Job Description

Do you want to help create a life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your role is to motivate our young people to adopt new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and security of our young people and clients, providing the foundation for daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You will contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines, and documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure that our young people/clients receive the safety and security they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment educators and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends. There are also temporary positions available for night staff.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS's operations.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, a strong empathetic ability, and the capability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care
• Class B driver's license
• Good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing
