About the Job

In the role of Mechanical Engineer within our Engineering & Projects business area, you will work on your own design assignments or in projects. You will assist with technical questions, support, and act as a sounding board for our customers. You are expected to create and maintain good business relationships with both new and existing customers to generate new business and repeat purchases of our services.

The position is located in Avesta or Borlänge. Assignments are carried out either in-house or on-site with our customers in the region, which means that travel may be required. The position is full-time and permanent.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identify and implement solutions to optimize processes and improve efficiency
• Prepare design drawings for various equipment, primarily within existing process facilities in an industrial environment
• Be involved in bids for various projects and assignments
• Create and manage request for proposal documents to ensure clear and accurate specifications
• Be responsible for planning and coordinating and ensuring that projects and tasks are carried out efficiently and according to schedule

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong drive and commitment to make a difference in our operations and contribute to our development. You have no problem taking the initiative and are passionate about innovative solutions.

As a person, you are a team player who enjoys collaborating and finding solutions together with others to develop collectively. You are also an excellent problem solver with strong communication skills towards both colleagues and customers. Experience from the consulting industry is a plus.

You also have:

• A technical university degree or higher education
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design within the industry
• Experience with 3D CAD and 3D scanning
• Understanding and experience with strength calculations
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work
• Field experience from installations in an industrial environment
