We at Övik Energi are looking for an engaged project engineer for local network electrical projects to our department Plan and Execute.

In this role, you will hold a key position where you are responsible for driving projects forward with a focus on time, quality, and economy. You work in a structured manner and ensure that projects are executed efficiently. The role may also involve responsibilities as a Construction Work Environment Coordinator for planning and design (BAS-P) as well as execution (BAS-U).

Responsibilities

As a project engineer, you will work on developing material lists, specifications, and drawings as a basis for contractors. You support procurement by contributing technical expertise and ensuring that the right solutions are implemented.

You will play an important role in communication and coordination between contractors, site managers, and other involved parties. By updating drawings and construction documents, you ensure that the documentation is always current. You are also responsible for contractor controls and ensure that projects are executed according to plan.

Furthermore, you will size the electrical network, calculate and simulate loads, and identify areas for improvement based on technology, economy, and regulatory requirements. You actively work for high delivery reliability and low energy loss in electrical network projects. The role also includes contact with authorities and landowners to apply for necessary permits for new constructions.

We are looking for you who

We believe you have several years of experience in local networks and preferably a technical education from a college or university, or equivalent experience. You have knowledge of project tools, documentation, and business systems, and you find it easy to express yourself in speech and writing.

Experience from contract projects is an advantage, and we are looking for someone who is self-driven, goal-oriented, and structured. To succeed in this role, you need to be someone who enjoys collaborating, solving problems, and driving projects forward with customer focus at every step.
